GNITC NSS Volunteers participated in World Consumer Rights
Day Celebration at Ravindra Bharathi on 17/03/2015 organized by Department of Consumer affairs, food
& civil supplies (Government of Telangana) in association with NSS.
The purpose of this event is “As we are all consumers and
we need to know that Consumer Rights are Human Rights. As we consumers we need
to think that we are spending correctly or filling the pockets of capitalists.
India's major backbone containing 60% of youth, so we should have an eye
opening regarding the E-Commerce."
This event is
inaugurated by Chief guests Sri C. Partha Sarathi, I.A.S (Commissioner, civil
Supplies & E.O. Secretary to Govt. of Telangana) and Smt. Bharati
Hollikeri, I.A.S. (Chief Rationing Officer, Hyderabad).

AWARENESS ON HEALTH CARE
NSS Cell of GNITC organized a talk on “Awareness on
Healthcare” on 14.03.2015. The talk was delivered by an eminent Physician Dr.
Ashish Chauhan. He is working as Physician, Diabetologist, Immunization
specialist in Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad.
More than 500 faculties attended this program in the Indoor
auditorium. In his talk, he has given some tips to keep ourselves healthy. He
explained the limits of B.P, Sugar and Cholesterol and how to keep them within
limits to have 100 years of healthy life.
The Session was an interactive session, several members
claimed about the usage of medicine, hesiditory problems, working stress and
strain problems. He appreciated the college gym and suggested the faculty to
use the gym. He also removed the doubts and apprehension on visit to the
hospitals. Dr. Chauhan shown several slides on health tips. The programme was
ended with vote of thanks.
